Women's Winter Cycling Clinic
Thursday Feb. 19th was the 2nd annual Women's Winter Cycling Clinic hosted be the Greenville Women's cycling team and The Great Escape in Greenville. Greenville's women cyclist showed up in numbers for a very successful turn out. The presentations were super and the food was delish. Thanks to Monica from Michelin for the extensive tire knowledge, Lucy for the massage chair rubs and the GWCT for the great food and information on the various cycling topics.
Danna surveyed the crowd to find out what topics they were most interested in learning about during the second clinic. The results show that the most desired topic is "Routes starting further south than Furman." The second most desired topic is a tie between "Tire change demonstration" and "Getting the most out of spin class." Other topics that scored high were "Cross training," "Basic bike maintenance tips," and "Surviving Donaldson Center." Write-in topics were: training, racing, joining a team, nutrition, recycling, and helmet fitting.
If you missed the Feb. clinic come out for the March 19th clinic, to learn about many cycling related topics, just in time to fully enjoy the great cycling mecca that we call the upstate.
Look forward to seeing new faces and return attendees.
Thank You
Ric Ramos
