FALL IN THE UPSTATE SHOULD BE BICYCLING HEAVEN

With both Greenville and Spartanburg trying to raise their L.A.B. (League of American Bicyclist) city ratings , skipping over Bronze and Silver, and going directly to the Gold. it should be an interesting fall. Currently there are no gold cities in the southeast US.

We have the potential to get more of our citizens off their couches, out of their cars, and spending quality fun time with their children, friends and significant others on bicycles.

Think of the good. Less carbon dioxide in the air we all breathe, better mental and physical health for new riders, teaching our children by example the value of family time spent together exercising rather than munching while watching TV.

Consider talking up the new bicycle trails and greenways to your friends who do not now cycle. How much better of a friends would you be if you get at least one more family enjoying cycling.

Cooler Fall weather and bicycle trails may actually bring some of our friends and neighbors who do not now cycle and with a friendly recommendation just might start them rolling on a new path. It can really change their lives for the better. Lets make the Upstate of South Carolina the envy of the rest of the country.
