Question of the Day
Why should I spend $169.99 for a electric helicopter when I can get on for less at one of the toy stores?
The answer to that question is in the question.
The reason is the difference between a toy and a hobby class helicopter.
Toy Helicopters "usually" cost less.
Ease of flying should be very similiar.
If the transmitter goes bad the toy is not normally repairable while the hobby transmitter can be repaired or replaced.
When helicopter is damaged the toy is usually good for a doorstop while the hobby class can be repaired by owner.

Toy class helicopters usually have different type transmitters than hobby class and will teach bad habits if you ever wish to fly different helicopters.
Be sure and ask about parts for repair before you buy.
